Engine and Gearbox in the car!
By Martin on Apr 14, 2010 in General News
At long last this 300zx gets its engine and gearbox fitted and its looking really good. After spending an afternoon checking that all the connections were done up four of us got a full day on the car to fit as much as we could. It was very interesting as we put the engine and gearbox in together just using axel stands on the front. To do this you do need to drop the front suspension a bit but I was surprised that it was possible to do at that height. Its certainly easier for a novice to do the engine and gearbox seperately but with help its certainly possible to do it in one go. The main reason we wanted to do it in one piece was the fitting of the RPS Carbon Carbon twin plate clutch. It was a right buggere to get the bell housing on off the car so doing it on the car would have been a nightmare.

Now that’s what I call a clean engine. Really looks the part. 10/10 good job, well done.

Awesome !! As a hands on type of guy, I can appreciate the work that has gone into that !
Applause and credit to you sir, it is very much deserved !
A little bit of thinking “outside the box” but still in keeping with the marque. I follow with interest !
